can i get a tattoo with a nickel allergy

I've been looking forward to getting my first tattoo j many years, and I'm now finally in a place where I can. However I have an allergy to nickle can't wear watches, earrings, ect. Replies from people who have a nickle allergy and from tattoo artists is much appreciated. I am unusually prone to blowouts, though, and I have never been able to pinpoint nickell why, but I don't think they're related. If you're that worried, you can ask the artist to wity a spot test. Have them place a drop of whatever inks you'll be using on the surface of your skin, then let it dry for 24 hours. If you have a reaction to that drop, it would be unwise to use that ink in your tattoo.

Within a week we will. I have a severe nickel allergy. I've got several tattoos, and never had an issue with a single one. Side note: you can wear watches and earrings and etc, just be sure they're hypoallergenic. Or, paint clear nail polish on the earring posts/watch backing/etc, and touch it up every so often. Oct 12,  · Even then, though, my arm took 3, nearly 4 weeks, instead of 1 to 2. Usually it doesn't cause a huge issue (maybe longer healing, but that's about it as far as I'm aware), but if you're concerned just ask about the nickel content in any of the ink the artist may use for tattooing. If they can't tell you or won't, don't get it done there/by them.

Once you develop a sensitivity to nickel, you will develop a rash contact dermatitis whenever you come into contact with the metal. Once a particular site, such as a tattoo, has reacted to nickel, that site will react even more when re-exposed to nickel.

My skin is also sensitive so I've had some extra itchiness with yellows, but that's unrelated to the nickel I think. Thank you guys so much, I don't think I'll have any problems. I can't wear any type of metal, all my piercings have rejected but I'm working on my 5th piece with no negative effects from any tattoo!

I'm allergic too but didn't have any issues. witn
